Transformers Rescue Bots: Heatwave

The post says it all. I bought my 3 year old daughter the new Transformers Rescue Bots Heatwave Dinobot for her birthday. She has been showing signs of liking daddy's toys so I thought this would be a good toy to pick up as a gift. Within two minutes this morning after showing her how to transform it, the leg mechanism broke during the transformation. I just thought maybe we had a dud, so I exchanged it at Target on my way to work. Well I get home tonight and give her the replacement and what do you know, it breaks again in the very same fashion! She was devastated this morning her new toy broke and again tonight. Thanks a lot Hasbro! There is no way this thing was play tested. Turns out this is widespread problem too. My wife showed me negative after negative reviews online. I'm not even going to bother trying to return this piece of junk again. Thankfully it looks like the Blades Dinobot toy doesn't suffer from being a piece of crap so I'm off to Target in the morning to pick that one up for my little girl. I just hope that I haven't turned off my daughter to Transformers just as she was showing interest!

  2. Aren't these toys meant for younger kids? I can understand a Generations or Universe figure breaking, but not one of these guys. It almost sounds like there's a defect in the figure itself.

  3. that's terrible. there's a point when making them cheaper becomes detrimental to the company and they should know that, especially with the people dropping entire lines, and stuff like this happening to the ones made for kids, it's like they are trying to kill the company

  4. Wow that is bad customer experience! Although having a young kid myself I never really get the recuse bot toy series. My child love the Transformers Animated more actually has he saw my collection and taken some for his playing. None of those got damaged except for some cosmetic "damage" due to young kids throw and knock. I do feel heart pain as those were my personal collection but you know as a father I find joy in my kids loving my toys in playing than displaying.

  5. Wow I feel bad for her. I just bought the smaller version of that figure since I don't transform it much hopefully mine will stay ok. It seems that hasbro is slacking on the product testing on a lot of these new toys. I bought my son the flip and change Drift and he can't even stand up on his own.
