G.I. Joe Subscription Preview - Big Boa

Finally!  Another Cobra figure joins the G.I. Joe Club subscription service!  I know Big Boa was originally created to pair off against the cancelled Rocky figure, but I always liked the idea of him being the Cobra trainer.  This is a PERFECT update of this character.  Not much is changed...which is good as the original figure was pretty good.  What takes this figure over the top are the included accessories.  For those of you that don't like the idea of him always wearing boxing gloves we now have a pair of interchangeable hands!  on top of that we get "traditional" box headgear, a dumb bell, a baton a sledgehammer!

Most likely there will be no way at this point for me to afford the subscription service so I'll just have to settle and hope I can find this figure on the secondary market.  While some of the figures have me interested this is the first figure that made me say "Wow" out loud.

G.I. Joe Subscription Preview - Cover Girl

I know a lot of fans were clamoring for Cover Girl to be included in the subscription service and now that she has been added to the line-up I can't help but think this has been done before.  Cover Girl got a really nice figure as part of a comic pack in the Direct To Consumer (DTC) line.  I like the updated version, but to me it doesn't look much different.  I'll say it again.  Where are the rest of the Cobra characters?!

G.I. Joe Subscription Preview - Sure Fire

Too bad this figure isn't a "sure fire" win for me.  I like the included accessories, but I was hoping for another Cobra character myself.

The G.I. Joe Club subscription service just got some South American flavor!  Can't say this figure is as impressive (at least to me) as the last few have been, but it looks like he'll be a popular character for a lot of collectors.

The G.I. Joe Club has done it again!  Jinx is the figure that a lot of fans have been asking for.  I'm getting more and more impressed with every teaser image the club releases.  I wonder if the bandana around her eyes is removable or not.

G.I. Joe Subscription Preview - Iron Klaw

The G.I. Joe club has released yet another photo of a figure to be included in their upcoming subscription service.  I don't know a whole lot about the "Extreme" series of G.I. Joe, but this is one cool looking figure.  I had my doubts initially about the subscription program, but the club has really picked it up with the last few previews.

The G.I. Joe Collector's Club has released another image of a subscription figure.  While Dice wouldn't have been in my top 20 picks, I gotta say he looks really nifty!  Do people still say nifty?

G.I. Joe Subscription Service Preview - Quarrel

Finally!  Some new information has been released about the upcoming 2011 G.I. Joe Club subscription service.  We already know that Quarrel will be the first of the 12 figures and today we find out more information about the club...with the exception of the one item most people want to know...the cost!

Speaking for myself I'm excited about the potential of this service.  I just hope the cost doesn't exclude many (including myself) from being able to sign up for a subscription.  The SDCC exclusive Zaranna was $15 so I'm hoping they use that pricing model.  Much more than that would make it harder to swallow...at least for me.

•Officer Level Members (paid) get a monthly magazine and a free figure each year they are an active member. Members also receive special pricing in the online store and free use of the MCAX auction site. There is also a Members Only message board.

•The Club will soon be offering an add-on service to Officer Level Members which will be a Figure Subscription Service. This will be an additional charge to your paid Club Officer Level Membership.

•The Figure Subscription will be 2 carded figures shipped every month for 6 months for a total of 12. Subscribers will receive a 13th figure FREE at the end if the subscription period.

•Figure Subscriptions will only be available to Officer Level (paid) members for a limited time. After the cutoff date, no more subscriptions will be sold for that period of figure mailings.

•The Figure Subscription and Club Membership are TWO different things and you MUST be an active Officer Level member in order to be eligible for the Figure Subscription.

•The 12 figures will be known when the Figure Subscription window opens, but the 13th figure will be a secret. (We hope.) Don't tell when you get yours! :-)
