I'm a television star!

I got my 7 minutes in the spotlight tonight. The local CBS station in Charlotte aired my story of my Transformers toy collection. Since I've mention it here before I thought I'd share the video from the broadcast now that it has aired. I'm happy with it - they didn't make me look like the dork that I really am!

  1. Congrats on the news piece! That is the most impressive collection I've ever seen.

Our generation of toys is the greatest ever.

    1. What type of Transformers do you have in your collection Fuji?

    2. I collected them back in the 80's... but don't have any of them left. When I got back into collecting, I focused on Star Wars, because I wasn't a fan of the newer Transformers.

One of these days, I'd love to go back and grab a few of my favorite G1 Transformers: Starscream, Jetfire, the Aerialbots, Soundwave and all of his cassettes. But it's not likely unless I hit the lottery ;-)

  3. You have done Transformers fans across the world a great justice, you've portrayed us as normal people. Congratulations, it was excellent!

    1. Thanks. I was scared at how I would be portrayed, but they did an excellent job. I thought it was funny that even the host John Carter was excited about my story.

The producer that interviewed me said he used to run his own comic shop back in the early 80's somewhere in NC.

  5. I liked it man, like others have said, they portrayed you in a nice light. I have a question, are some of your shelves ELFA? I work at The Container Store and some of your shelves looked to be ELFA lol.

  6. Wow, I just watched this. Great job. I wish they showed more of you playing with the toys than just Grapple - transforming Grimlock would have been awesome on camera. One question though, did they actually use your real name anywhere in the broadcast, or are you hoping to go by Flywheels to all your fans? :)

    1. I asked them not to use my real name in the segment and thankfully they had no problems using my alias instead.

  7. Why would you not want your real name to be used in the segment? I mean it's not a huge secret of anything is it?

    1. I was worried about someone tracking me down and trying to steal my stuff. I got a lot of money invested in that room!
